Project Co-ordinator

Ageing Better in Birmingham - Background Ageing Better in Birmingham is part of Ageing Better, a programme set up by The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. Ageing Better aims to develop creative ways for people aged over 50 to be actively involved in their local communities, helping to combat social isolation and loneliness. It is one of five major programmes set up by The National Lottery Community Fund to test and learn from new approaches to designing services which aim to make people’s lives healthier and happier. In Birmingham, BVSC is leading a cross-sector partnership which has been successful in securing an investment of £6,000,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to help reduce social isolation amongst older people for six years until 2021.

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Project Co-ordinator on a 15-month fixed term contract. The role will be required to coordinate the Change Practice in Health and Social Care project, which forms part of the LGBT Community Local Action Plan within the Ageing Better in Birmingham programme. With a keen eye for detail, you will ensure the development and coordination of project activities, outputs and manage key stakeholder relationships. You will also develop, tender and manage a range of contracts in line with the delivery of the project outputs. You will be required to liaise with Relationship and Contract Manager to ensure that the project feeds into the wider programme, and is effectively evaluated. As Project Coordinator, you will be required to represent BVSC and the Programme at external stakeholder meetings and events.
