Newcastle Cathedral is seeking a dynamic Volunteer Coordinator to lead an ambitious volunteering programme which is at the heart of our project, Common Ground in Sacred Space. This is an exciting opportunity to revitalise and professionalise our volunteering offer, working with partners to recruit and train 100 volunteers from very diverse backgrounds to deliver key functions, including welcome and hospitality, tower tours, schools’ and family learning and events stewarding. You will work closely with the project team, cathedral staff and cathedral archaeologist in planning and delivering the Cathedral’s wide-ranging public engagement programmes, ensuring an excellent experience for our volunteers and sharing volunteering opportunities with other Old Newcastle venues.
