Senior Quality Engineer

Role Profile
Are you a driven, hands-on individual who has a passion for quality? Our client manufactures electronic products, so a strong technical/engineering understanding is crucial. You would be responsible for owning the company's quality process from design to delivery, with an emphasis on supporting the process transformation they are currently implementing.
Responsibilities
* Managing quality related processes, supporting the development of internal procedures and completing internal audits to ensure the quality and safety of all manufactured products
* Working alongside the Operations Director to continually develop the company's Quality Management Systems to meet both regulatory requirements and support a culture of 'process'
* Maintaining the internal and external audit schedules
* Formulating corrective and preventative actions for both customer complaints and internal non-conformities
* Monitoring and approving suppliers of safety critical materials, conducting supplier audits and visiting supplier sites as and when required
* Being the expert when it comes to various directives and standards ensuring that the organisation remains compliant and continually provide great quality products
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Quality Engineer gained within a highly regulated environment with a technical/engineering background
* Knowledge of ISO 9000 / 9001 standards, ATEX and IECEx is a great advantage
* Strong communication skills with the ability to contribute individually but also influence key stakeholders across the business
* A keen eye for detail, with a strong desire to continuously improve the way things are done
Client information
You will be based in the company offices in Cheshire, employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week within Monday to Friday, with the ability to work flexible hours around your home life.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of GBP30,000 to GBP40,000 level dependent on experience and qualifications. Plus, attractive benefits including, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company-wide profit share scheme, and a flexible working scheme.
