An award winning charity based in the West Midlands focus on providing support and rehabilitating individuals who have been victims of; Domestic Abuse, Rape, Sexual Violence, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Forced Marriage and Honour Based Violence.
The Opportunity
If you are passionate about ensuring service users are safe and rehabilitated after falling victims of abuse, then you may be interested in the following role.
Our client are currently seeking a Domestic Violence Caseworker to work within accommodation services to provide a safe and empowering environment for Women and Children escaping Domestic Violence. Responsibilities and duties will include:
??Managing a case-load to provide targeted interventions in line with quality assessment frameworks.
??Ensure all service users have an appropriate individual support plan, risk assessment and action plan in place, ensuring they are regularly monitored and reviewed to achieve positive measurable outcomes.
??Offering evidence based interventions and therapies to support service users with complex needs who require specialist support.
??To escalate and de-escalate risks appropriately and effectively communicate with multi-agency teams.
The Ideal Candidate will;
??Have experience working with vulnerable people
??Have experience managing a case-load
??Have experience working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
??Have experience delivering evidence based interventions and working in an evidence-based outcomes-focussed framework
??Hold an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject working with adults and children, or demonstrate equivalent experience
Due to the sensitive nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to be compassionate and empathetic towards the service users, act with integrity and respect at all times. There may also be some evening and weekend working required, so the successful candidate needs to be flexible.
The successful candidate with be required to have a current driving license and access to your own vehicle and must be female in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 Part 7 (2) (e).
