What does the role involve?

Your purpose in this role will be to ensure we get the best value from all of our suppliers covering everything from tyre contracts through to relationships with dealerships and garages across the county. Not only will you be looking for the best value for money, you'll be making sure that those suppliers perform the way we need them to in order for us to deliver an exceptional level of service to our customers.

Some of your key duties will include:

• Reviewing and driving supplier performance
• Holding suppliers to account for delivery against promises and contract
• Identifying new suppliers, and managing the tender process

What are we looking for?

You're second-to-none when it comes to driving value from suppliers. You're a taskmaster who takes no prisoners when it comes to negotiating and getting the best deal for your business. You may not be from an automotive background but we're happy with that - it's your procurement expertise we're interested in. In addition, we're looking for the following skills and experience:

• CIPS qualified
• Proven experience in negotiating multi-million pound contracts
• Procurement of both products and services
• Comfortable having difficult conversations
