Manpower are pleased to be working with our client to find an Electrical Fitter on a temporary contract based in Plymouth.
About the role
In the role of Electrical Fitter, you will be working on a variety of ships/submarines and land-based systems in the marine defence and commercial industry to undertake the installation, repair, maintenance and manufacturing of all electrical systems. You will be able to overhaul and install a variety of electrical equipment in control, distribution and control systems covering areas such as weapons, navigation, sensors and communications systems.
About the candidate
To be successful in the role of Electrical Fitter you will be able to read drawings, interpret work instructions and perform the work on time, cost and to a high standard. You will have previous installation and connection experience and able to carry out functional tests and surveys. You must also have 17/18th Edition certificates and ideally have previous experience on working with large marine vessels.
