Rail Sales Manager - Stone, Staffordshire

Provide strategic direction, leadership, management and co-ordination for target markets and customer priorities within rail and transport.

The Package

* Circa GBP65,000 Basic (Depending on experience)

* % Bonus

The Client

Our client is a worldwide technology leader in power grids, electrification products and industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve revenue and sales targets as defined by the business leadership

* Mentor the sales team on a regular basis in marketing & technical sales aspects

* Analysis of the market and the players and their interaction

* Acquisition of new customers and OEM's, interface to customers and End Users.

* Develop strategy, tactics and sales plans for sales of traction chain equipment for rail applications

* Identify and report on business opportunities in targeted segments

* Maintain and report the pipeline of the projects

* Act as an account management on specific accounts

* Bid & offer management - Technical and commercial bid preparation for traction power electronics proposals. Preparation of tenders together with the team of specialists.

* Develop processes to effectively handoff projects to Project Management (PM)

* Represent the client in Rail associations, conferences, trade shows and industry networking events

Requirements

* Business or marketing related degree or an equivalent professional qualification

* Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies

* Proven experience in customer and market research

* Proven rail experience

* Must be able to demonstrate a full understanding of railway process' including the UK NR GRIP process
