PROCESS TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER
with INJECTION BLOW MOULDING or INJECTION MOULDING
Based in West Lancashire

Salary: circa 40,000 to GBP50,000
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Injection Blow / Injection Moulding Engineer to join a brand new factory which will be ready for production later this year. The nature of the start-up will require the successful candidate to be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone, initially as the sole process expert on site, with support from the machinery supplier, field engineers.
The facility will incorporate the specific technologies of:
1 x Injection Stretch Blow Moulding Machine for PET
2 x Injection Moulding Machines
1 x Injection Blow Moulding Machine for HDPE
Responsibilities:
* This position will provide technical expertise to the injection blow moulding & injection moulding processes.
* Responsible for all tool changes, colour changes, bottle weight, machine efficiency, scrap/losses and cycle times
* You will provide the day today support to the manufacturing section, including setting and maintaining appropriate process conditions (Injection Blow Moulding & Injection Moulding)
* Assist with all production equipment associated with the manufacturing and automation processes
* You will be responsible for any technical issues, giving support for senior management decisions
* Support the customer in the processing of products in their applications
* Continually develop the manufacturing processes to deliver best in class processes and standards
* Control and optimize process parameters
* To implement and stabilize all moulding standards and performance (material consumption, scrap reduction)
* Analyse process failures
* Own the technical integrity of the moulding processes and support introduction plans into plant
* Ensure quality standards are maintained
* Basic fault finding on tooling, robots, conveyors and ancillary equipment
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* Possess a minimum of 3 years practical process engineering experience, within an injection blow or pure injection moulding environment
* Exposure to working with robots would be useful but not essential
* Able to analyse technical problems and develop the most appropriate solutions
* Analysis of Production processes from raw material to finished component and able to propose and implement projects for step change in process robustness.
* FMEA/Risk analysis.
* Project Planning.
* Ability to prioritize workload and identify when to escalate issues
* Proven analytical, organizational and time management skills
* Understanding customer and business needs
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of QC standards
* Excel, word, Access, MSProject
Specific process training on all machinery will be provided and applications are welcome from those who possess either injection blow moulding or injection moulding process experience.
For EU roles, candidates must be eligible to work and live in the European Union.
