Lawyer/Commercial Analyst

6 month initial contract

Our client is looking for an experienced Lawyer to join their team to work on various regulatory and BAU projects.

Description

Preparing and negotiating a range of Institutional Securities Documentation for the OTC Derivatives Business. Focus on Master Trading Documentation for a variety of derivative products included, but not limited to, ISDA, Credit Support Annex, GMRA, CDEA, Side Letters, amendments and ancillary documentation across diversity of clients and multi-asset class.

Working closely with internal stakeholders to negotiate legal terms and respond to internal and external questions. Reviewing and analysing constitutional documents to determine Capacity and Authority to engage in covered derivatives products. Review underlying jurisdictional opinions as necessary.

Updating internal spreadsheets and systems with document or status data

Required skills:
Degree in law/business administration degree

Essential Skills:

  • ISDA Experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, Excellent people skills (will interface with people at varied skill and seniority levels), General comfort with Technology (particularly Microsoft Word, any spreadsheets); Quick learner - including learning internal computer systems, Ability to set, track, achieve and report on short/long term goals and projects
  • Essential Characteristics: Organized, Detail-oriented, Self-starter (highly proactive), Confident, Comfortable interacting with junior and senior colleagues, Ambitious, Commercial, Willing to assist/teach other members of the team.
  • Experience in legal/business support roles. Preferably employed by or seconded to a bank in a documentation/business support roles.
  • Not essential, however, French and German would be useful
