Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Sales Administrator will be required to provide admin support to our energetic and busy sales team.

This role is a combination of both sales support and sales administration, duties include but are not limited to: supporting the process of responding to tenders, keeping the CRM system up to date with sales activity, processing sales orders, creating quotes and liaising with the Logistics Team

AST Systems is a subsidiary company of a Global Group, Head Quartered in Great Yarmouth Norfolk. AST Systems has a small subsidiary company in Nairobi Kenya, servicing a customer base predominantly in Juba, South Sudan. We cover provide products globally with the bulk of work being done in UK. Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Principal Responsibilities:

Within our existing customer base, you will be expected to:

  • Preparing quotations
  • Processing orders accurately
  • Assisting Sales Team with quote/order/call overflow
  • Keeping customer records, keeping CRM updated
  • Monitoring and following up quotes
  • Relaying daily shipping and back order status by phone or email
  • Chasing back orders and providing information to customers
  • Support marketing campaigns
  • Communicate effectively with our sales team
  • Liaising with other departments as required.
  • Liaising with customers

Essential Experience

  • Excellent administration skills high level of attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar sales support role
  • “A” level of equivalent qualification
  • Experience of Gold Vision
  • Experience of Avers Dimensions
  • Qualifications 5 x GCSE’s grade C and above including Math and English
  • Skills, knowledge and aptitudes
  • Maintaining a professional appearance
  • Ability to work well within a busy team
  • Well organised with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude
  • Excellent MS office skills including Excel Outlook and Word
  • Ability to follow procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • General interest in technology and ideally in the space industry
  • Proficient with CRM systems
  • Personal qualities and social skills
