Job Title: Charter Sales Manager

Location: London

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

The Company is the leading operator of passenger services on the River Thames, carrying in excess of four million people annually on its extensive sightseeing, entertainment and charter services. Based at Cherry Garden Pier, they operate twenty two revenue-earning passenger-carrying boats, along with a small fleet of support vessels and barges. In addition it owns and operates the permanently moored vessel the RS Hispaniola based on Embankment.

The Bespoke Private Hire team was created in May 2015 with the primary aim to add an additional revenue stream for the business whilst using boats once they had completed their daily sightseeing service. With a key 5 year plan to see year on year growth this role is pivotal in achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Charter Sales Manager to achieve budgeted sales revenue and profit levels for Direct and Trade boat charters, including boat hire and food and beverage sales
  • Assist Charter Sales manager in the development of key relationships with 3rd party agents, corporate clients and business partners
  • To log and process enquiries providing quotations where applicable
  • To monitor outcome of quotation/enquiry process (chase where necessary)
  • Coordinate all customer requests and ensure customer requirements are communicated to the event delivery teams
  • Assist in the launch of new products
  • Assist in the database build, of a CRM system, to build enquiries and customer to provide a detailed mailing list
  • Host viewings and familiarisation visits as required, attend 2-4 charters per annum as part of service improvement levels

Key Requirements:

Essential

  • Strong experience in working in event management from start to finish for both corporate and private events
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills - to negotiate a suitable product package with the customer
  • Sales background
  • Customer Services experience, both face to face and on the telephone
  • Maintaining Event budgets
  • Event delivery
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and word skills. Must understand diary management systems
  • Be competent working with new technology and databases
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Available for work outside of normal working hours and some weekends
  • Desire to provide and deliver great customer service
  • Respect your colleagues and customers
  • Approach everything with integrity with what you do
  • Deliver excellence through profit, customer satisfaction and work with empathy
