An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high performing and experienced individual to join the Development & Sales team (Construction) as the Aftercare Manager during a period of growth and change in our business
The Role
Our successful Aftercare Manager will have the opportunity to develop what is a new service to the business that is being introduced in order to provide an excellent Customer Experience for occupants of our new homes.
As the service evolves this will also entail the recruitment of Aftercare Assistants, the Aftercare Manager taking a lead role in building this new team.
This exciting new post combines your abilities to problem solve and liaise with a number of people and roles within the development process, bringing them together for the benefit of the customer. At the same time, the role requires excellent organisational skills to maintain records and arrange schedules to ensure the Aftercare system can respond to the demands that will be made of it.
The key service requirements are:
- Ensuring occupants to new homes are given information and assistance to help them settle in and being the link between them the Developer and the wider Longhurst Team.
- Ensuring building defects occurring in the early stages of occupation are dealt with efficiently to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Attending dwelling inspections at the end of any defects liability period and ensuring defects are rectified and signed off by the customer.
- Co-ordinating reviews of completed developments and recording performance against KPIs included within contracts.
About You
As our ideal candidate you will have experience of working in a Customer services environment. Our successful Aftercare Manager will have basic knowledge and understanding of construction; including mechanical and electrical services found in dwellings - some training can be provided. You will also have some familiarity with identification of very minor building defects e.g. shrinkage cracking; and experience in setting up new services by analysing requirements and liaison with other teams to develop a service (In this case Aftercare) that is fit for purpose. With the evolution of the role and Aftercare service, an ability to manage and motivate staff will be a key asset.
