Electrical & Electronic Engineer - Graduate

Perpetual Partnerships are currently supporting one of the UK's largest manufacturers of solutions for industrial, commercial, healthcare, education and residential applications. From their start of the art production facility they manage the design, test and manufacturing process under one roof and they have continued to grow at pace since their inception over 50 years ago. To date they employ over 3000 people across 20 countries and are now looking to strengthen their electrical test department.
The Position
This is a fantastic opportunity which could suit an individual who is currently studying for an Electrical / Electronic Engineering degree. You might be part way through your studies and be looking to gain priceless industry experience during your down time a couple of days a week. Likewise, you may have recently graduated and be looking for your first position in industry. Either way, this could be the prospect you are looking for.
The person would focus on assessing, improving and developing the businesses current test equipment and procedures as well as supporting as a technical lead on upcoming projects.
The role will involve:
* Measure characteristics of products being manufactured on the shop floor to understand test equipment needs and configuration.
* Perform capability studies and measurement system analysis on test equipment to demonstrate fitness for purpose and needs for improvement.
* Investigate production equipment faults with the maintenance team and identify improvements to equipment stability and resilience.
* Equipment validation and calibration.
* Hardware design and realisation.
* Reading, editing and creating schematics,
* Understanding Insulation Resistance Testing, Earth Continuity Testing and a variety functional control systems testing in manual and automated solutions.
* Providing technical input and support within a fleet replacement project.
Additional Experience / Skills
* Currently studding for a Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* A Proactive individual with an attention to detail.
* Must be articulate with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent computer skills with the ability to generate and analyse data.
* Understanding of wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
* 2D CAD is a must with 3D CAD a bonus
