We are seeking a full time Food and Beverage Assistant on a full-time basis! This role is ideal for candidates who hold excellent knowledge of a wide range of beverage options from fine wines, cocktails and ales. Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment you will be responsible for taking both food and drink orders in both a bar and restaurant area in a high class setting.

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 42.5 Hours per week with a variety of shifts
Salary: GBPNegotiable
Shift Patterns: Our client works on the principle of getting a work/life balance while ensuring business is covered. They try to book shifts that will suit both the business and your home life. You may work Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner Shifts or a combination of all 3. The earliest you could start shift is 6.30am, the latest could be 10.30pm. You may be required on occasions to work split shifts, evenings and weekends so we do need a degree of flexibility on your part, but with an understanding the client will always be fair.
Duties will include:
* Assisting with food and table service
* Taking customer orders and handling money
* Serving alcoholic beverages
* Ensure agreed standards of service are maintained in all areas and guests are treated in a professional and courteous manner at all times
* Ensure all areas where food and beverages are served are kept clean, tidy and hygienic
* Laying and clearing of tables as appropriate
* To regularly interact with clients during morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea breaks
* Deal with customer requests in a professional manner
* To assist other departments including meeting room set up, the clearing of glasses and replenishment of water from conference rooms
* Ensure stock levels are maintained and that stock is rotated to maximise profit
Skills and Experience Required:
* Previous experience with bar or hospitality work
* Able to deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with customers
* Possess a good knowledge of food and beverage recommendations
* Ability to be flexible with shift patterns
* Customer service focused
* Able to work as part of a fast paced team
