Eurostar's Technical Specialist - Human Resources & Payroll Services will sit within the Information Services department to aid with Oracle system looking after HR and Payroll services. This is an exciting position based in our Kings Cross, Times House office reporting to the Lead Business Systems Manager - Professional Services.

This is a 10 month fixed term contract.


We are looking for someone to...

  • Influence at functional level to ensure IS department priorities are aligned with need to move the business forward.
  • Work in-conjunction with Service Management to resolve any service delivery incident pertaining to Oracle or feeder systems.
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers and contracts (Oracle EBS provider in relation to HR&PS, e-Recruitment, Performance Management, and Learning & Development Providers etc)
  • Understand the scope/requirements and priorities of the HR&PS functions and propose solutions to meet those needs.
  • Work with business functions to develop best practice processes and manage continuous improvement
  • Manage business expectations at all stages of the project lifecycle and communicate any changes to necessary stakeholders.
  • Act as primary support for all Oracle HR&PS related queries.
  • Have active involvement and maintenance of the Joiners and Leavers process and reflect in the Oracle solution.
  • Ensure relevant touch-points maintained with EIL Payroll.
  • Own the reporting - assist users to achieve their reporting requirements.

You'll need...

  • Have strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Be able to manage different stakeholder groups and be able to report to all levels of management.
  • Be experienced and knowledgeable on the Oracle R12 e-Business Suite platform and understand and have managed third party contracts with suppliers.
  • Be able to grow and develop and take more responsibility across the functional disciplines to enable a fully resilient team and touch point for the Business.
  • Related experience in HR/Payroll practices and processes
  • Management of third party suppliers and vendors
  • Appreciation of ITIL Standards and Practices
  • Training skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Business to System translation and analysis skills
  • Experience of working in an outsourced environment
