This is a central role within our organisation, with a portfolio covering a number of key enabling functions, including responsibility for leading the Council's budget planning process and acting as the Council's Deputy S151 Officer. You'll ensure that sound business principles underpin an organisational culture where risk is managed thorough sound governance arrangements. The emphasis will be on your leadership skills, shaping a centralised Finance team that can provide expert advice to support service delivery. It's a role that demands a blend of technical expertise, to establish professional credibility, and a highly developed appreciation of business partnering, enabling you to support and challenge your peers.
