Design Quality Specialist (PQ and Product Design)
The role is a high-visibility role and a fantastic opportunity to influence the formation of the function group "Design Quality" at the company Design function in the UK. The function group sits next to the function groups of Interior, Exterior, UX/UI, Colour & Material, & Digital. At the company Design UK we work on any existing or new brand that belongs to the group. The Design UK group sees ourselves as a consultancy within the group. We have been hugely successful in recent years with its existing brands as well as with its new brands and the future is even more ambitious.
Design Quality covers any design including engineering factors that makes the vehicle look, feel, and sound more premium. To create the Design Quality function group we start by understanding and recording all the factors that make a car appear premium and then convert these factors into design principles and engineering targets. Our Design Quality team follows the vehicle along the design journey offering advice along the way about how to improve. We work closely with the other function groups here in the UK, but also with our teams overseas.
