This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Trainer who has a passion for training but would also enjoy the variety this role will bring. The successful candidate would be part of a passionate, dynamic and inclusive team, and would be expected to dive straight into a busy year for the department, by supporting a number of IT projects such as our upcoming firmwide Upskilling Project, as well as deliver the usual IT induction and upskilling training via classroom, webinar and eLearning.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Deliver IT induction training to new starters, as well as upskilling training via classroom, one-to-one, webinar, workshops and e-learning methods.
Plan and organise training events based on training needs analysis.
Create, design and maintain training materials for the successful delivery of IT training programmes.
Participate in IT projects that have a training requirement.
Provide second-line support to the Service Desk for incidents relating to training.
Learn, test and monitor new system updates and changes.
Assist in identifying future learning needs within the business.
Effectively maintain training records and materials within TutorPro, our LMS.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing technologies in use and learn new systems or improvements to current software as required.

Person specification

Education / qualifications / experience:

Hold an appropriate trainer qualification - g. CIPD, PTTLS, MCT, TAP
Previous experience of developing and delivering technology-based training within a legal or professional service organisation.
Experience of implementing a systematic approach to training.
Experience of developing e-learning technologies.

Knowledge and technical skills:

An understanding of the training lifecycle and learning styles.
Proven IT skills and experience of IT systems.
Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office 2016 or Microsoft Office 365.
Knowledge of legal based IT applications e.g. iManage, Dynamics AX, Rekoop
Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new software and technologies
Able to produce, edit and maintain training materials to the required standard
