We currently have a vacancy within our Parts Department for a Parts Assistant. This will be full-time permanent position following completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6-months.

You will be joining a friendly team, within a class leading company that pride themselves of providing high quality products and service to their nationwide customer base consisting SME, National and International Accounts. Based in Hereford for over 10 years within a modern, well equipped working environment.

The Parts Department is a busy an integral part of the business operation. Primary duties will include assisting in the controlling of all stock within the Department, taking and despatching customer orders, including card payments where applicable and replenishing / supplying our national Sub Contractor Network to support their service related activity. Working with our internal SAP and CRM systems ensuring goods are ordered, controlled and stock levels maintained in line with defined parameters. Assisting in controlling the return of parts into the department and dealing with warranty requests and returns to the manufacturer, as required. All of the above duties will be conducted under the direction of the Parts Manager.

To apply for this role you must have a good standard of education and possess an excellent telephone manner, with the ability to build a good rapport with a wide range of customers and contractors. You must be able to work calmly under pressure and deal competently and politely with customers at all times. Although not a necessity experience of working with SAP & CRM systems would be advantageous, as would previous experience of working within in a busy Parts Department. Training however will be provided to suitable candidates.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (40 hours), with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Holidays are 22 days per annum, which will rise to a maximum of 25 days following 7 uninterrupted years of service. The successful candidate will also, upon completion of the probationary period, qualify for inclusion within the company bonus scheme, which could provide up to a maximum of 10% of annual salary. Bonuses are calculated against company and personal performance and reviewed following the submission of the companies accounts at year end.
