We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, outgoing and self motivated General Catering Manager to take over the running of this large site based near Eastbourne, West Sussex. Working within the educational sector, this site caters for large volume as well as high quality events, functions and weddings. The site has new facilities with good potential for events growth. As the General Catering Manager, you will oversee the management of a large team as well as training and development. You will liaise with the clients and ensure a smooth operation is maintained. You will be accustomed to providing a high level of core service as well as high quality hospitality. The role will be to take full financial accountability so you will be extremely financially focused.

To be considered as a candidate, you will
- currently be a General Manager with at least 3 years experience within a similar role
- have worked within catering
- ideally have contract catering experience within B&I
- have catered for high volume
- have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients
- have strong financial and negotiating skills
- have an eye for detail and presentation
- be able to lead, motivate and encourage a team
- be friendly, outgoing, bubbly and confident as well as maintaining professionalism
- be genuinely passionate about food and the industry
