Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) has an excellent national and international reputation for the quality of our patient care and for our research, education and innovation. This is a time of change for us with a recently refreshed leadership team in place, our new 10-year strategy launched last year and as we develop our new People Strategy and introduce an exciting Culture and Leadership Programme. As a first wave Integrated Care System, our role in the wider health and social care economy is evolving as we seek to work with partners to meet increasing demands and to effect sustainable system change. We are an ambitious organisation striving to think differently about how we integrate services in order to deliver safe, high quality and effective care that is sustainable for the future health and wellbeing of our populations.

We are, by any measure, a large, complex, person-centred organisation. With around 16,000 employees from a wide range of professional backgrounds, we are one of the region's largest employers. Based on three sites with 90 wards and 1,700 beds we have an annual income of just under GBP1 billion. Our vision is "to be outstanding in health outcomes and patient and staff experience". We are a successful and progressive organisation; absolutely committed to our values and to working in partnership with stakeholders in our system to deliver new models of care that meet our populations' future health and care needs and improve their wellbeing.

Following the appointment of Nicky Hill to the Northern Care Alliance Board, we are seeking a new Director of People to join "Team NUH" in this pivotal Board position with responsibility for delivery of our ambitious People Strategy. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced People Director to join an organisation where people are at the heart. You will have a track record of delivering high quality people services and a strong employer brand; creating an empowering and innovative environment where there is compassionate leadership at all levels. Comfortable with complexity and in operating across organisational boundaries; you will be an authentic and collaborative leader who will quickly develop trust with our high performing clinical teams and with our wide range of stakeholders and partners. Most of all you will share our values and ambition to shape high quality health and care services for the future.
