International Forwarding Planning Manager
We are looking for an International FTL Operations Manager for a successful client based in the Dover area. Must have at least five years' experience in the haulage/freight forwarding industry, Good understanding of all aspects of fleet & driver management, scheduling/planning, WTD, tachographs. European languages would be an advantage but not essential.
Leading your Team hands on to ensure the continuous sourcing of third-party sub-contractors in Europe (including Freight negotiations)
To oversee the training of new staff members in order that they progress to the required level of expertise
Profit & Loss responsibility
Supervision and control of all aspects of the daily operation of a busy FTL forwarding department daily to ensure that collection and deliveries are carried out as per customers instructions
Timely and effective communication between office, customers, sub-contractors and drivers and any other parties involved in the process
Using own initiative to make decisions relevant to your area of control
