They are now looking for a Provisioning Engineer to join their team in London.

The Role

As a Provisioning Engineer, you will be tasked with supporting the provisioning of our client’s Ethernet and IP related services and ensuring that circuits are built to the highest standards. 

In this key role, you’ll manage IP and Ethernet provisioning tickets and ensure that all services are delivered in-line with targets. You’ll update and maintain provisioning records on the database, as well as providing assistance with IP and Ethernet service testing and implementation. 

Sharing your knowledge with other members of the team, you’ll cross-train your colleagues on Ethernet and IP provisioning. Additionally, you’ll provide capacity support and reporting and liaise with other teams within the business to ensure that excellent service levels are delivered. 

About You

Interested? To be considered as a Provisioning Engineer, you will need: 

- At least five years’ experience of network architecture and technology planning for Synchronous Ethernet and/or IP networks or Optic networks in a carrier and enterprise service provider environment 
- At a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science (or equivalent) 

Whilst not essential, a good understanding of L2 networks and services based on MEF standards would be beneficial to your application. A Cisco CCNP qualification would also be advantageous, as would a MEF CECP or JNCIA certification. 

A good understanding of the design methodologies and protocols used by service providers to build converged IP networks, including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L2/L3 VPN, Traffic Engineering, IPSec and GRE would be equally favourable.
