As our Operations Development Manager, you will aid in the design and implementation of new operational products, processes, services and systems for the Hermes Operational Network.

This key roles sits within our Operational Development (Ops Dev) Division and you will work cross-functionally with other internal departments but also engage with senior stakeholders, up to the Hermes UK Board, and senior stakeholders in our client businesses. Excellent influencing skills and the ability to build relationships is paramount in this position.

You will be expected to project manage, in some cases design and/ or implement operational improvements into the hub, depot and delivery network until steady state. The development of the network may include the installation of new systems and processes to improve the overall performance of the network. So the ability to analyse large amounts of data whilst understanding the operational requirements of national logistics business is requirement of this job.

Experience of managing large Cap-Ex budgets, external contractors and working groups is a definite advantage in this role as is working knowledge of the e-commerce market.

Ideally, you will have Advanced Microsoft Office skills, as well as experience using Visio and Project project management tools, a formal qualification in Project Management isn't necessary as long as you can showcase and provide evidence of projects you have a landed.

The work you will undertake will directly and be part of will directly influence the effectiveness and efficiency of our business.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from planning to roll out and business uptake.
