Combine Driver / Drillman - Shropshire - Salary Up To GBP40K (Including Overtime) + 4 Bedroom House - 13079 EA
The Farm:
My client operates a professionally run 6000 acre farm in Shropshire. They grow a mixture of cereals, oilseed rape and also specialise in growing high quality potatoes.
The Role:
Primarily they are looking for someone to drive one of their two 8240 Axial Flow Combines harvesting 5,000 acres of cereals a year.
In the Spring they have 1,100 acres of potatoes to plant, so depending on experience and capability there is a role available either bed tilling and ridging or destoning. During the Autumn period, again depending on experience and capability, there is an option to drive their third potato harvester during their store filling period. In the intervening time there is plenty of other work including; irrigation, digger work on a 9 tonner, building work and maintenance. Through the winter they also run a staff rotation on potato grading.
This is a hands on and varied role which requires a candidate that is hard working and capable of performing a number of duties who has excellent attention to detail.
The Candidate:
* Farming experience is essential.
* PA1 and PA2 desirable.
* Digger driver license.
* Loadall license.
The Package:
* GBP13 per hours per year (average).
* Annual appraisal.
* 34 days a year holiday.
* 4-bedroom semi-detached house; GBP500 deposit / GBP500 per month rental / all bills payable by tenant
