The NIAB–CUF Potato Agronomy Group in Cambridge is a leading centre for research on potato agronomy operating in the UK and Europe. Working closely with growers and the entire supply chain, our activities include detailed studies of plant development, crop management, variety evaluation, assessment of diseases and potato quality, data handling and analysis.

We are offering the opportunity to learn and develop skills within a team committed to conducting high quality scientific research with practical applications. As a technician, you will contribute to a range of projects by preparing and maintaining experiments at local and external sites, sampling and making assessments in field and laboratory experiments.

You will be an enthusiastic team member with an interest in agriculture. A full driving licence is required. A science-based qualification, spraying qualifications and proficiency in operating agricultural vehicles will be an advantage.

The starting salary is £19,432 to £25,640, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
