Purpose of the Role:

The Office Based Account Manager role is based at Argent Oil Terminal and is responsible for winning incremental sales of High and Low blend Biofuels through effective Sales and Marketing Campaigns. Represent the company at industry shows when required and if appropriate. Manage a growing portfolio of accounts, generate sales leads and maintain a smooth end to end process for order capture and delivery confirmation. There will be an element of back office administration and sales support.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and managing Marketing Campaigns
  • Liaison between Company and marketing data sources to ensure the smooth running of Sales Campaigns
  • Ensure that all new business and existing business is carried out line with the company's credit processes and guidelines and that regular reviews are carried out in conjunction with the finance team
  • Through proactive telesales, generate sales leads both personally for and the external Salesforce
  • Grow the number of contracted and spot customers in line with the company's targets and objectives
  • Represent the company at industry shows when required and if appropriate
  • Manage a growing portfolio of accounts
  • Maintain a smooth end to end process for order capture and delivery confirmation
  • Maintain the CRM database in an accurate and timely manner
  • Win/accept orders and process them in line with company practices
  • Provide various reports to the sales team to help measure actuals v's plan
  • Ensure that all new business and existing business is carried out line with the company's credit processes and guidelines and that regular reviews are carried out in conjunction with the finance team
  • Back office administration and sales support

  • Make yourself aware of all Emergency procedures and Responses

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:

  • Educated to A level or equivalent (degree level preferred)
  • Experience in B2B Telesales essential (experience in Commercial Fuel an advantage)
  • Highly numerate with an attention to detail
  • A knowledge of the Fuel Industry and/or Logistics Industry an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A team player with the ability to work under their own initiative
  • A high level of experience of office IT applications including word, excel and other CRM tools
  • Highly numerate with an attention to detail
