Are you a passionate, dynamic and forward thinking HR Specialist that would you like to join our Strategic HR team and provide professional advice and support to our operational services?

Then you could be what MHA is looking for to join our friendly and experienced HR team based within our head office in Derby. MHA employs over 7,000 employees and supports over 18,000 older people across the UK through a variety of services.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to report into one of our HR Business Partners. Assigned within a region you will support our operational teams and so the ability to build positive and successful working relationships is paramount. You will work as part of a team however will have ownership and accountability for your own workload. The use of a car is desirable as occasional travel will be required within the assigned region.

The successful candidate will have:

- or be working towards a CIPD level 5 qualification;

- experience of working within an HR department;

- knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and how it's applied;

- an understanding of employee relations and case work management including grievance, disciplinary, capability and attendance monitoring issues;

- experience of multisite working and acting as a point of contact providing advice and support in line with HR policy and procedure.

As well as being IT literate and an effective communicator, with a calm, confident and professional approach, the role will involve:

- providing comprehensive and professional HR advice and support to services in line with our Values;

- advising and coaching individuals on the application of HR policies, procedures, best practice and employment law to enable delivery of our business objectives;

- providing advice and support to managers on employee relations matters;

- reviewing investigation reports and letters to ensure compliance with policy and procedure;

- policy and procedure development;

- the opportunity to support with project work to both contribute and expand your knowledge, expertise and interests.

This role would be ideal for someone already working as an HR professional who would like to broaden their knowledge and experience within a large organisation.
