We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team here at Domestic & General in Brighton.

Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, as an Employee Relations Advisor you will give vital support and framework to people managers, providing them with the skills and confidence to effectively manage their teams. Working within one of our busy UK Contact Centres this is a fast paced and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within Employee Relations.

Key role responsibilities:

* Provide support and framework to people managers providing them with the skills and confidence they need to take accountability for their people issues

* Effective management of ER cases supporting outcomes which are aligned to D&G's Culture & Values. This will include but not limited to disciplinary, grievances, investigations, appeals, and capability procedures

* Supporting broader ER activity including restructuring and policy development

* Effective relationship management and partnering with Occupational Health to deliver an effective well-being strategy

* Providing coaching, support and professional development for people managers

* Effective HR Risk Management

* Reporting, analytics and people insights

Skills and experience:

* Sound knowledge of Employment law and HR best practice

* HR experience in a contact centre environment would be ideal, or if not a similar environment

* Managing employee relations cases / issues

* Strong communications skills

* Exceptional stakeholder management experience

* Able to build plan and prioritise activities to deliver

* Proactive

* Team player

* Strong decision making skills and sound judgement

* High drive for continuous improvement in ways of working

* Creative problem solving

* Highly organised, with a flexible approach to work

* Ability to coach effectively

* Strong numeracy and literacy skills

* Ability to analyse and draw insight from data

* This role will involve adhoc travel to other D&G UK locations as and when required
