Job Description

• Identify and deliver cashable cost savings
• Create a procurement policy and framework criteria incorporating the various teams
• Work with the Sustainability Manager to influence sustainable practice in the supply chain
• Establish a category management process to improve leverage, quality and optimal supplier costs
• Lead the procurement strategy and policy supporting internal stakeholders
• Manage the tender process for expenditure over GBP10,000
• Take responsibility for the effective development and timely delivery of strategic procurement and cost saving projects
• Keep up to date with legal compliance required in buying, protecting Eden's reputation
• Manage over 2,000 supplier relationships either directly or through the procurement policy

The Successful Applicant

• CIPS qualified or relevant procurement background
• Accomplished Manager with accumulated knowledge and skills to influence and support Eden's GBP15m expenditure
• Experienced in delivery cost reduction initiatives
• Experienced in managing tender processes and negotiating commercial contracts
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships whilst challenging cost consumption
• Knowledge of the South-West supplier market is an advantage
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills

GBP46,000 to GBP48,000

Pro-rata part-time options considered.
