Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
 
You will be working within the Electric Vehicles (EV) team, a new and exciting team focussed on providing innovative energy-technology products to electric vehicle drivers. These products will connect their vehicle to a smart, distributed, decarbonised energy grid to help save the planet, and save them money. We’re offering customers free smart EV chargers which will intelligently charge their cars when energy is cheaper and greener and can even turn their car into a mini-power station so they can power their home, or other people’s homes, with their car battery.
 
Our vision is to connect all EV drivers to an intelligent energy grid through one of our smart charging products. We want to provide a seamless experience from first contact, through installation and connection, to using the product every day to save them money on their energy bills.
 
What will I be doing?
 
Working as an Electric Vehicle Outbound Advisor, you will make contact with EV drivers who have expressed an interest in one of our intelligent charging products. You’ll be helping to answer their questions about how the product works, what the benefits are to them and helping to switch them to OVO if they’re not already one of our customers. You’ll be advising them on how the products work, the process of getting one installed and running and how it will work with their driving and charging habits.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
- Calling EV drivers who have shown interest in one of our products to offer free upgrades to one of our chargers – no cold calling
- Helping customers switch to OVO and get a Smart Meter installed to get them ready for their new charger
- Supporting customers with any questions about how the products work
- Working to team deadlines and personal targets
- Using your initiative to adjust to an evolving role
- Understanding the charger sign up process from start to finish
- Resolving customer complaints and queries on an ad-hoc basis
- Being involved in an exciting and innovative area of the business
- Being proactive in thinking of ways we can improve the experience for the customer

- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy when working at a fast pace, with the ability to organise and prioritise daily workload
- Adaptable and quick to respond in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication skills to include liaising with internal and external departments and organisations to resolve queries
- Being able to work in a team, good personal timekeeping and willingness to work to OVO’s core values
