Darthaven Marina is located in the stunning South Hams countryside, surrounded by rolling hills and in a truly tranquil setting. We are now seeking a talented Marine Electronics / Electrical Engineer to carry out planned and reactive electronic maintenance on customers’ boats.

The Role 

As a Marine Electronics / Electrical Engineer you’ll be tasked with undertaking a variety of electrical work on customers boats and equipment. 

You will install, diagnose, and repair faults on a wide range of electrical systems and Marine Electronic Navigations systems, including our main dealership brands Raymarine, Navico and Garmin. 

Your role will also include: 

- Installing, repairing and maintaining all electrical components of a 270 berth marina, facilities, boatyard, workshop and offices 
- Carrying out work on leisure and commercial vessels both at Darthaven, and various other locations within South Devon 
- Completing new installations to a very high standard to meet manufacturers specified requirements and industry dictated standards 

About You 

To be considered as a Marine Electronics / Electrical Engineer, you will need: 

- Experience in marine electronic engineering 
- A full, valid driving licence 
- A great awareness of health and safety procedures in the workplace 
- To exercise good housekeeping at all times 
- Strong problem solving abilities 
- To be a team player 
- Excellent customer service skills 
- Great time management 

Although not essential, a qualification in any City & Guilds, or BTEC certificates in any electrical or electronic disciplines including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be beneficial. Marine specific qualifications including BMET, MEI or AMEI would be equally favourable.
