The role:  This is a unique and crucial position in our charity – it is not client-facing but is essential to the effective running of the organisation.  

This post is responsible for all the ICT (Information, Communication and Technology), premises and facilities of CAH&ER.  Working with the Chief Executive the post holder will manage all aspects of health and safety across the organisation. 

As a member of the management team you will ensure that CAH&ER’s facilities (buildings, communications, IT, suppliers etc), reflect value for money and  support the organisation to be effective, deliver a high standard of client service and  meet our obligations under legislation.

We need someone motivated by our aims and dedicated to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our business support systems. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

•     knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems and experience of working with computer networks

 

•     experience of purchasing, contracting and managing external suppliers

 

•     experience of providing technical support and guidance to a range of users and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives

 

•     ability to develop expertise in data management and data governance.

 

About us: Citizens Advice Hull and East Riding (CAH&ER) is an innovative and successful service which puts clients first and focuses on delivering high quality advice services via face to face, telephone and digital channels to over 20,000 people a year.  We help people overcome their problems.  Our advice is confidential, free and independent and covers a wide range to subjects including benefits, debt and money management, housing, employment, family and legal matters. We use the evidence of our clients’ experiences to campaign for change.

We are a local independent charity operating from four offices and extensive outreach sessions across the city of Hull and the East Riding.  We employ approximately 80 staff supported by over 100 volunteers.
