Do you have experience of using a CRM system, developing training resources and delivering training in group and 1-2-1 sessions using a variety of mediums, including face-to-face, Skype and phone? Then join Shelter as a Supporter Database and Training Officer, and you could soon be playing a vital role within our Data Management & Insight team.

A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change - with individuals, in communities, across society - and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve.

About the role

Part of our award-winning fundraising department, the Data Management & Insight team delivers high quality data and business insight to the department, as well as other teams across the organisation. Indeed, they're crucial to the successful delivery of all fundraising activity and act as the gatekeepers to the data Shelter stores of its supporters. This particular role is pivotal in enabling consistency, compliance and data quality throughout our Income Generation and Campaigns, Policy & Communications teams. As well as designing and delivering training for users of our supporter CRM (currently the Raiser's Edge) you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining database policies and procedures. You'll also play an integral part in embedding a new supporter database into the business and ensuring end users are comprehensively trained in order to use the system to its full potential.

About you
Used to performing a highly skilled data centric role within a busy fundraising environment, you have an excellent understanding of databases and proven experience of devising and delivering training. What's more, you enjoy working with colleagues to constructively challenge ways of working/business processes and introduce new approaches where necessary. The ability to liaise effectively at all levels with a variety of stakeholders is important too, while a working knowledge of fundraising compliance would also be an advantage. Proactive, commercially aware and results-driven, you thrive on leading change and improving performance.

We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, childcare vouchers, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

Closing date: 23 rd June 2019 at 11.30pm
