Can you support our highly specialist team who are responsible for managing technical services across the Defence Estate?
The Role
The role is within DIO Regional Delivery Overseas &DTE based at Mount Pleasant Complex, Falkland Islands delivering essential maintenance and works to a small township, including all of its utility provision, through an Industry Service Provider (ISP).
Responsible to the Senior Estates Facilities Manager (SEFM), for the monitoring, data analysis & management of the Industry Service Provider in delivering contracted services such as planned preventative maintenance, resultant works, reactive maintenance and professional inspections.
The post offers excellent career development opportunities for an individual to act on behalf of the SEFM and/or represent DIO in meetings with senior civilian and military staff and to develop their skills in managing a contractor delivering Estate services on a busy Joint Force, 1* Command led, Establishment.
Main responsibilities
• Oversight of the planned preventative maintenance programme to assure that the estate is being maintained to the correct statutory and mandatory requirements.
• Monitor, assess and manage Contract performance against the Site Specific Schedules in conjunction with the ISP.
• Data analysis and provision of statistical commentary and recommendations against monthly KPI targets.
• Attend, support and/or participate in relevant Facilities Management meetings, particularly supporting the SEFM at monthly SIMMs (Site Infrastructure Management Meetings) .
• Support, develop and maintain active engagement and strong collaborative working relations with the ISP and stakeholder community.
• Line Management responsibility for 1 Locally Employed Civillian.
Person specification
Essential
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Estate Management
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Estate Contract Management.
• Demonstrable skills in data analysis and IT skills, particularly EXCEL.
• Demonstrable experience in strong collaborative working
• Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
• Membership of a relevant industry institution would be desirable.
• Experience of working in a military environment

Regional Delivery Overseas is part of the Defence Overseas Training Estate, within which the PJOB (Permanent Joint Overseas Bases) and Far East covers, Falkland Islands, Ascension Island, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Singapore, Nepal, and Brunei. The Mount Pleasant Complex is used by all three services and run by Joint Forces Command. The DIO PJOBs HQ is rear based at RAF Wyton Cambridgeshire
