Production Operative

Horizon Search & Selection Ltd are currently seeking a production operative to work within our clients Bonding department. Ideally previous experience within a production environment would be highly advantageous.

The role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis and the working hours are37.5 hours a week; Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 15:30.

The company Design, Develop, Manufacture and install Glazed Roof Lights for the building services industry. Currently enjoying a period of growth our client requires a number of new team members in order to keep up with the high demand for their products

Duties and responsibilities for this role include:

• Using manufacturing drawings to produce bonded frames from aluminium extruded metal
• Familiarise yourself with the process within the cell area to ensure that build instructions and technical guidance documentation is adhered to
• Installing electrics in hinged rooflight products
• Liaising with the cell leader to ensure any missing components can be expedited to ensure completion to schedule and providing feedback where dates will not be achieved
• Working to company standards to ensure a high level of quality whilst also considering Health and Safety standards
• Completing QC sheets once the unit has been bonded
• Ensure the working area and cell is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Strive to meet targets, reporting clearly all activities to the cell leader

Ideal candidates for these roles will have some experience of working within either an Engineering or Manufacturing environment and the following skills and attributes are required.

• Manufacturing experience required within an engineering environment
• IT literate
• A Forklift Licence is desirable
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to understand manufacturing drawings and schedules would be highly advantageous
• Health and Safety conscious
• Able to work well within a team and under your own steam
