Job Purpose:

The Analyst will be part of the Citadel Global Equities COO team and will report to the Head of Research Process & Analytics.  The Analyst will work to empower investment professionals and enhance the research process through automation, reporting, and technology.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with investment analysts, portfolio managers, and internal technology specialists to design and implement innovative tools that enhance the investment process, portfolio construction, and risk management for sector investment teams
  • Sourcing and leveraging fundamental equity data to streamline modeling and investment research
  • Interpreting, evaluating and interrelating research data and develop integrated business analyses for incorporation into strategic decision-making
  • Creating informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Building customized analyses and data visualizations that incorporate internal and external data
  • Developing strategic vision for future technology initiatives
  • Collaborating with technology teams, quant research teams, and other internal functions on deliverables to support Global Equities investment professionals
  • Assisting in new hire onboarding through coverage planning, infrastructure design, and tool training
  • Conducting due diligence on buy side technology offerings and building relationships with niche vendors

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, statistics, engineering and/or computer science
  • Strong written communication, oral communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Passion for fundamental analysis and public markets investing
  • Deep understanding of financial accounting, equity valuation, and statistics
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Data Visualization – built-in functions, aggregation, lookups and creating dashboards, Tableau
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, and Linux/Unix experience, statistics, or data analysis
