Electronics technician
STEM Recruitment Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join their client based in the Stirling area.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Research and Development team in the assembly and testing of medical device meters. You will be maintaining and trouble-shooting prototype meters being used in the lab test environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assemble meters as per assembly drawings and verbal instructions.
* Program meters to specific software requirements, modifying meter to suit specific purpose e.g. mechanical and electrical
* Assisting in lab testing strips and/or running test on repeatability and linearity
* Add and replace surface mount parts using soldering iron
* Assembly of optic blocks and magnet assemblies to measure accuracy of parts using OGP machine
* Debugging and repairing meters down to component level
* Investigate design issues and identify areas of improvement
* Ensure all associated paperwork is maintained for recording instruments repairs and updates
* Create purchase orders and orders parts from suppliers
* Initiate, investigate and action non-conformances when required
* Work in conjunction with the company's Quality Policy and Quality objectives
To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following skills and experience:
* Experience in a similar role ideally in a highly regulated industry e.g. Medical Device, Electronics
* Possess an HNC or equivalent in Electronics
* Good soldering skills
* Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams
* Ability to use test equipment as required e.g. voltmeter, programmers, etc.
* Someone with excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
