Senior Picture Researcher, OK! Magazine (Maternity cover)
OK! Magazine has an opening for a Senior Picture Researcher to join us on a part time, maternity cover basis. Reporting to our Picture Editor, we are looking for an experienced candidate within a similar role who can 'hit the ground running'.
Based in our Lower Thames street office, this role will be initially for a 6 month, part time contract (3 days a week).

Reporting to the Picture Editor and working closely with the Art Desk, Editorial and Online teams you will be responsible for finding and buying in exclusive photoshoots and news stories, researching archive material to illustrate features and will occasionally be required to produce your own photoshoots.
Other duties will include:
- Negotiate rights and fees for the content they are finding, with a view to keeping costs down and report fees to accounts
- Some admin. duties as required.
- Some flexibility may be required for deadline as stories develop.
The Ideal Candidate
- We are ideally looking for a candidates who has several years' experience of picture desks, has strong contacts throughout the industry and a good knowledge of celebrities.
- A good working knowledge of photography, while not essential, would be a significant advantage.
- A thorough understanding of transferring, storing and managing image files in various formats is essential.
