Glazing Installer
Our client has been trading for more than 40 years and is based within Bedford, where their factory has been for the last 30 years. They are suppliers, manufacturers and installers to the fenestration industry, and are now looking for a Glazing Installer to join their team.
Their factory manufactures all aluminium aspects of the industry, dealing within both the commercial and domestic sectors, whilst they cover all domestic installations which predominantly involve the PVCU ranges; conservatories, orangeries and extensions, incorporating both the glass roofs and solid roofs are also a large sector of their works.
The majority of work is based within the Herts, Beds and Bucks areas, but due to recent expansion, they are obtaining work further afield. Experience within the industry would be a necessity, with background knowledge of basic building. Computer literacy would be advantageous.
Experienced or trainee applicants will be considered, both on a self employed basis, and on site training would be given whether experienced or trainee. The successful candidate will be working with a lead installer, qualified in all aspects of the fenestration industry, but predominantly conservatories and extension.
This is a Monday to Friday, permanent role, with the occasional weekend working. The rate of pay is between GBP50 and GBP140 a day, depending on experience. Own tools are a must for the self employed candidate, and the role will involve working out of an installation vehicle supplised by the company, so a driving license would be advantageous. For the trainee applicant, tools will be gained as time progresses. Preferably you will be based in the Bedfordshire area, but this is not essential if you have your own transport.
