Our client designs cutting edge systems used in safety critical and harsh environments by defence and aerospace customers. They are currently seeking a Technical Author to write documentation in "mark-up" languages and traditional formats to enable the operation and repair of equipment. The role covers the full product lifecycle from design to in-service support.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with the right experience and qualifications to join a leading international organisation.
You should have a good mix of the following skills and knowledge:
* Experienced in the production of technical documentation - Ideally with MoD standards such as S1000D etc
* Knowledge of SGML editing software, Common Source Data Bases and Desktop Publishing systems is desirable - although On the Job training can be given
* Demonstrate a writing ability for new, complex and original work, as well as checking and editing material generated by other authors
