Affinity Water, it flows through our name and everything we do. Every day we supply millions of litres of safe, high quality drinking water to our customers. We are the largest water-only supplier in the UK, with a vision to become the leading community-focused water company.

We only recruit the best, and we are committed to helping you achieve your career goals and become even better than you are today.

Be at the front line of our water quality and delivery!

Want to get involved in the science behind your drinking water? Be part of the journey from source??? to tap!

Let's set the scene???

Before it reaches the customer's tap, our water is collected, cleaned and tested to ensure it's safe to drink. For us, the safety and quality of our drinking water is priority number one and so we work tirelessly to examine, monitor and report on hundreds of water samples every day to ensure we're delivering the very best to our customers.

This is where you come in.

As a Sampler, you'll spend your time out and about visiting Affinity Water sites, treatment works, reservoirs and customer properties collecting water samples and delivering these to our Labs. You'll work closely within regulatory guidelines, recording and reporting on information accurately with a close attention to detail. You'll be given access to a company vehicle to transport you from site to site, performing both routine and non-routine sampling across our supply areas. There's plenty of driving involved and so you'll need a full UK driving license and be a confident driver.

Sound like something you could do? Hurrah!

What's important to us is your dedication to get the job done, and done well. This role can be time-pressured and so you'll be an excellent time manager, balancing your time between various sites with a methodical approach. We're looking for people who are committed to our values of health, safety, environment and quality, promoting 'zero harm' by following procedure and escalating actions where necessary. There's a balance of independent and team working, so you'll be a self-motivated and reliable person who's comfortable working alone, whilst being able to develop great working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike. And of course, you'll represent Affinity Water with a professional and approachable manner, always sharing a smile with our customers.

The ability to work flexibly, over weekends and on standby rotas, will be required. It's important you live within half an hour of the Affinity Water area to be able to travel to our sites daily, finishing your day at our Stevenage/Staines Sampler Centre.

When do you need to be available?

We will be holding two assessment days for these positions, to take place on the following dates:

- Monday 3 rd June 2019 at our Staines Offices

- Tuesday 4 th June 2019 at our Hatfield Head Offices

There will be two sessions on each day, one afternoon and one early evening. Each session will last approximately 2 hours. Please ensure you are available on these days to meet with our team.

If you're after a role where you can make a real difference, this could be it.
