Role Outline
My client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to direct all operational activities for a large manufacturing site. They manufacture a wide range of instrumentation products they supply to an array of sectors utilities being one. The ideal person they are looking for will be a strong leader, having prior experience in cross functional team management & working in a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe working environment for all employees
Ensure ethical behaviour in line with company code of conduct
Manage the environmental risks
Ensure performance targets are met with 3 main factors - on time, on quality & on cost
Create a positive environment that allows all employees to develop & exceed
Manage supply chain, quality, production engineering, planning and all related operational aspects
Support cross functional teams/divisions
Ensure all work carried out is in line with company's legal policy
Implement a culture of continuous improvement with regard to operations
Coordinate global operational strategy in coordination with respective stakeholders
Deliver exceptional customer service
Requirements
Essential
Strong background in operations management
Knowledge of key manufacturing skills on site (welding, assembly, automation) as well as production and enterprise systems (SAP)
Good networking skills
To have a results & quality oriented work ethic
Strong people skills
Lean 6 sigma qualification
Desirable
Knowledge/experience working with instrumentation products
Salary & Package
GBP55,000 - GBP65,000
