As the 'Manager Group Capital Management' you'll be a specialist Treasury Manager. You'll provide insightful, high quality complex output, advice, guidance and control to senior partner needs both within and external to GCT.

What would you get involved with?

Within the Capital Management Team, our purpose is to Optimise Capital to balance the needs of Customers, Investors and Regulators. Our responsibilities include advising senior management in the areas of:
  • Optimising the amount and type of capital of the Group - including influencing regulatory decisions on capital requirements and buffers through the ICAAP; recommending Capital Risk Appetite and distribution decisions; producing base case and stressed capital plans to guide capital and MREL issuance - all of which requires a deep understanding of current and future prudential regulations.
  • Optimising the distribution of capital across Group legal entities - including engaging with businesses on capital management of subsidiaries; down streaming and restructuring Internal capital securities and MREL, Solo and sub-group planning, including identification and mitigation of issues that may arise from application of regulations at legal entity level, assisting restructuring activity e.g. setting up EU subs, Insurance capital oversight
  • Improving and embedding capital in Business Decision Making


Working here in our Capital Management team will give you the opportunity to increase your awareness and understanding of risks across the Group. You'll learn and help steer how we use capital to mitigate those risks, and engage with and advise a wide range of partners across the Group, including senior management.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Positively influence others by demonstrating core Lloyds Banking Group values and behaviours
  • Manage and implement robust processes within GCT, aligned to short term business objectives
  • Manage and minimise risks relating to the Group's Balance Sheet
  • Establish and build relationships with GCT and Group-wide partners to support the provision of quality and timely information and analysis to inform business decisions
  • Effectively work within and maintain internal networks for the purpose of optimising Group results
  • Support agreed GCT and Group-wide projects to deliver continuous improvement
  • Manage and understand complex in terms of scale, scope and specialism with cross-divisional impact; recognised subject matter expert within Treasury.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly and effectively (written and verbal), adapting style to audience
  • Influence a wide variety of partners within and external to GCT


What skills and experience can you bring to the role?

Essential:
  • Good communication skills
  • Recognised subject matter expert within Treasury

Desirable:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
  • Regulatory capital knowledge
