Location: Madeley, Telford, TF7 5AT.
Salary: GBP18,000 - GBP22,000 DOE.
Contract: Full time, permanent - Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

About the role
The aim of the role is to maintain accurate financial records and help prepare accounts for all types of businesses, and to administer and process the payroll and pension functions of TaxAssist Accountants Telford in conjunction with our payroll bureau.
Key duties / responsibilities
• Liaise with payroll bureau to process all client payroll and pension data on a timely basis to ensure compliance with HMRC real-time information filing deadlines. Deal with client queries on payroll and pension issues.
• Prepare accounts for all types of businesses from client records to the point where they are ready for review by principals.
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns from client records to the point where they are ready for review by principals.
• Prepare other financial reports as required (eg. VAT returns, management accounts) to the point where they are ready for review by principals.
• Set up and maintain filing systems as and when required.
• Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.
• Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and clients.
• Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures
• Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
• Plus other duties consistent with the grade as directed.
What we need from you
• Currently studying or willing to study for AAT Level 4/Chartered qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role required
