IT Support Officer
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hrs p/wk FTE
Salary: Up to £35,000, depending on skills and experience
Based: Cambridge (Split Working)
Our clients, two independent Cambridge Colleges, are actively collaborating to align the IT service and support in both Colleges. To that end the two Colleges are collectively seeking an IT Support Officer. This is an exciting new role which will assist in the collaboration across the two Colleges.
The jobholder will be responsible for the day to day operations of IT services at both Colleges and for supporting the infrastructure and network that underpin those services. As a joint role, the post will report to the IT Director at one College and the IT Manager at the other College.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of assisting in the support of servers (virtual & physical), storage, disaster recovery, applications support and networks.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are a fundamental requirement, with experience of Cambridge University IT considered desirable whilst not essential.
The jobholder will be employed jointly by the two Colleges, and will work for each College for an agreed split of the contracted working time.
This is a full-time role (FTE is 37.5 hours per week), to be divided between the two Colleges according to an agreed timetable. Salary for the role is up to £35,000pa depending on skills and experience brought to the role.
The position offers 33 days annual leave (including public holidays), enrolment into a contributory Group Personal Pension scheme, free lunch on duty and car parking, subject to availability.
