Sous Chef Job Specification
2 days off per week and no split shifts!

My Client are looking for a committed individual wanting to experience working in a busy and successful kitchen and who seeks an opportunity to learn and further develop their skills. If you have strong ambition and a desire to be an integral part of a great team, then you could be what I am looking for.

Main purpose of job:
Our Sous Chef will be expected to lead, assist and help prepare in delivery of dishes in all sections of the kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities:

. Ensure that menu items are consistently produced and delivered at the standards set by the Head Chef
. Ability to work unsupervised in the Head Chef's absence
. Receipt & storage of all provisions, fresh & frozen, in accordance with current food hygiene regulations including stock rotation and storage
. Checking all menus to ensure foodstuffs have been received and are prepared on time to the required standards
. To undertake training as and when required
. Any other reasonable duties required by the Head Chef

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef with relevant qualifications or a strong Senior Chef De Partie looking for progression who can demonstrate the required skills.
