Trainee Cost Accountant

A Trainee Cost Accountant is required to join a global manufacturing organisation as part of their Bournemouth based finance team. The business has world leading brands in their industry and manufactures a wide range of products and systems in use in Automotive, Defence, Aerospace and many other industries around the world.
The role will report to the Cost Accountant and support the process of interrogating and analysing the true costs of product manufacture and report variances against Standard Cost.
Responsibilities to include:
• Interact with operations and engineering to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date
• Drive improved efficiency in the plant by identifying and tracking cost savings initiatives or inventory reduction actions
• Support SQDC reporting
• Execute global inventory control processes to ensure inventory accuracy
• Monthly variance tracking & analysis

Knowledge Require:

• CIMA part-qualified or equivalent
• Strong Microsoft IT skills
• ERP including knowledge of tables and structure
The role will attract a competitive salary with good pension and other benefits. 37.5 hours per week finishing at 12.45pm on a Friday
