The Oxford and Cambridge Club is an exclusive private members Club with a Grade II*-listed Clubhouse in central London. The Club has 46 bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, 3 banqueting suites, 2 bars, 2 squash courts, a billiard room and extensive libraries. The Club has nearly 5000 members.The RoleWe are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. The role is a full time position having flexibility to work diverse shifts. The last orders are 9.45pm.The role of the Assistant Restaurant Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the Coffee Room (Restaurant) and to work with the Restaurant Manager to ensure a five-star service is maintained whilst working within the guidelines set by the Club and effectively communicating to all relevant departments. Main DutiesResponsible for the provision of food and beverage services to Members in the restaurant and the management of the staff.•To ensure the general smooth running of the restaurants in line with the Club standard and the SOP manual.•To ensure the provision of quality food and beverage service to the standards expected by the Club.•To be constantly aware of members needs, scan the room and strive to create the right environment.•To ensure that all hygiene practices are adhered to and in accordance with current Health and Safety regulations.•To carry out equipment stock takes as and when requested to do so.EligibilityOnly applicants eligible to work in the UK or have a valid UK work permit or visa should apply.
