Our client, one of the UK's leading suppliers of homeware products, is experiencing unprecedented growth and volume. As a result, they are looking to recruit a Warehouse Shift Manager to run their back shift at their site in Preston, Lancashire; on a Monday to Friday shift (12:30pm - 9:00pm).
Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, you will be expected to manage c30FTEs in a busy pick and pack warehouse operation (Day 1 for Day 2 delivery).
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Shift Manager:
* Managing Goods-in, Returns and Replen
* Lead continuous improvement
* Monitor performance
* Coaching and development of staff
* Influencing skills
* Implementing change to existing processes
* Ensure workload is prioritised depending on department volumes
* Investigate stock shortage
* Ensure all customer orders are picked and dispatched on time
* Provide support to warehouse supervisor
* Support any re-work projects
* Knowledge of HR procedures
* Site H&S
The Ideal Candidate for the position of Warehouse Shift Manager:
* Excellent People Management skills
* Experience in working in a fast pace warehouse environment
* Flexible approach to working hours during seasonal volumes
* Ability to work in a faced paced environment and work to meet tight deadlines
* Ability to work on own initiative
* PC literate
* Health and Safety awareness.
